The Opportunity

Ready to lead with purpose and impact? We’re looking for a dynamic Program Manager – Workforce Australia to take the reins of program performance across the Western Melbourne Employment Region. If you’re passionate about driving meaningful change in employment outcomes while building high-performing, purpose-driven teams — this is your opportunity to make your mark with one of Australia's most trusted employment providers. In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering strategic direction, operational excellence, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure our service delivery model exceeds expectations

In this impactful leadership role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Driving program outcomes, customer experience, and team performance
  • Leading and supporting Team Managers and their teams across multiple sites
  • Ensuring full compliance with contractual requirements and KPIs
  • Building and maintaining key relationships with government (DEWR), employers, and community partners
  • Overseeing budgets and financial sustainability of the program
  • Collaborating with internal support teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement

 

About You

You’re a strategic leader with experience delivering government-funded programs, ideally in employment or training. Known for your ability to inspire, collaborate, and deliver, you balance operational priorities with strategic foresight.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

  • A qualification in leadership, business, or related fields (desirable)
  • 3+ years of success leading government-contracted service delivery, ideally within Employment Services
  • High-level knowledge of Workforce Australia Deed
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in meeting complex operational, financial, and compliance outcomes
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — you're able to unite teams and connect meaningfully with senior stakeholders
  • Experience balancing business needs, contractual obligations, and community impact
  • A future-focused mindset – able to turn strategy into action and influence continuous improvement
