The Opportunity  

Based in either Parramatta or Campbelltown, join our Apprentice Connect Provider division and make a difference with flexible, hybrid working arrangements. As a Customer Service Officer – Telephone Contact, you'll play a vital role in supporting apprentices, trainees, and their employers as they complete their Australian Apprenticeship journey. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct outbound phone calls, offering guidance and ensuring all administrative requirements are finalised smoothly and efficiently. The role and responsibilities of the position includes: 

  • Conduct telephone contacts with apprentices, trainees and employers, maintaining accurate records. 
  • Provide timely and accurate information about the Australian Apprenticeship program and available support services. 
  • Deliver outstanding customer service via phone and email, including guidance on government incentives and how to access them. 
  • Identify any issues impacting apprentices, trainees, or employers in their ability to claim eligible government incentives and escalate these matters to the appropriate team for resolution. 
  • Ensure accurate data entry and reporting in MEGT and government systems. 
  • Meet KPIs while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. 

 

About you 

We’re seeking someone who can: 

  • Build strong relationships with customers, including youth and diverse groups. 
  • Manage outbound calls to meet targets and support apprentices and employers. 
  • Communicate professionally with excellent oral and written skills. 
  • Solve problems, take ownership of issues, and work collaboratively. 
  • Deliver exceptional service with confidentiality and tact. 
  • Use Microsoft Suite confidently. 
  • Knowledge of Australian Apprenticeships or relevant admin experience (desirable) 
  • Relevant administration qualifications or experience are also desirable but not essential.
