The Opportunity

As the End User Computing (EUC) Engineer you will be responsible for providing quality level 2-3 end user compute technical solutions and support to all MEGT staff. You'll collaborate closely with infrastructure and service desk teams to assist in scoping, configuring, testing, deploying, and maintaining/patching the MEGT end user computing standard operating environment (SOE), ensuring consideration of all relevant process and system interdependencies.

You will also be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Actively strive to enhance the end user experience by fostering innovation, automation, and a comprehensive understanding of our customers' end-to-end journey.
  • Conduct testing and assessment of new hardware.
  • Software Packaging, Configuration, and Automated deployment
  • Perform Daily Checks and assist in designing, maintaining and executing Maintenance Plans for EUC technologies
  • Proactively provide advice, guidance, and technical leadership to the Service Desk team in delivering a quality service in line with organisational objectives.
  • Provide end-user support for any technical questions and assist service desk analysts when required to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate initiative by taking ownership of assigned projects, overseeing their execution, and actively engaging in reviewing and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

About you

You will have a track record of success in a comparable role and be known for your adaptability, tenacity and commitment to innovation. You will find fulfillment in building strong relationships, improving end user experience and be willing to embrace challenges. You will also have:  

  • Technical certifications (eg Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience building and maintaining end user device SOE in/for corporate or enterprise environments for desktops/laptops, mobiles, and tablets
  • Experience configuring and maintaining MDM and MAM solutions and working in a senior technical capacity on a service desk
  • Experience working in an ITIL environment (desirable)
  • High level of knowledge in Microsoft Technologies for End User Computing including Microsoft Intune/Auto Pilot (preferred) or SCCM, M365, Azure, MS Teams, MS Office Applications, PowerShell
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows and iOS. MacOS is desirable.
  • Knowledge in Teams Calling, Teams Meeting Room and Poly solutions desirable
  • Knowledge in IT delivery solutions such as ITSM tools such as Freshservice, and RMM tools such a Manage Engine or Teamviewer
  • Strong ability to actively manage relationships with customers and vendors to achieve sustained success, including highly developed negotiation skills and conflict resolution.
