The Opportunity
Based from North Lakes, Milton or Loganholme, this is your opportunity to join our Apprentice Connect Provider (ACP) division and work with Australia’s largest single provider.
As a Mentor, you will provide pastoral care, mentoring and guidance to apprentices, trainees and employers, identifying barriers to apprenticeship completion and supporting positive outcomes. As part of our service model, you will also proactively engage employers and apprentices, promoting the benefits of our services and building strong stakeholder relationships.
This is a highly rewarding role that requires a holistic, empathetic and proactive approach. You'll support clients to overcome challenges, stay engaged in their apprenticeship journey and achieve their career goals in a high-volume environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage a caseload of apprentices within a local region
- Proactively engage with employers and apprentices to promote available mentoring services and encouraging participation
- Undertake risk assessments, identify barriers, and develop case management plans
- Identify and utilise specialist services to support with addressing barriers to completion
- Maintain compliance with program requirements and service standards
- Maintain accurate records and detailed case notes across multiple systems
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Work autonomously while effectively managing priorities
- Participate in expos, community events and other engagement activities
- Meet KPI, quality and service delivery expectations
About you
You are an empathetic, self-motivated and resilient professional with the ability to engage, support and build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds, particularly young people.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, consulting or similar support-focused role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage your own workload
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret and assess information
- Proven experience meeting KPIs and customer service standards
- Strong administration skills, attention to detail and ability to manage different systems
- Strong digital literacy, including Microsoft 365 and basic Excel skills
- Certificate II or III in Community Services or a related field is highly regarded. Qualifications and/or experience in Retail, Early Childhood Education or trade industries are also strongly encouraged
- Current driver's license
