The Opportunity
Join MEGT’s Employment Services Division and be part of the new Workforce Australia contract. We are currently recruiting for multiple roles to join our team. MEGT will be delivering Enhanced Services in the Western Melbourne region and we are looking for Site Leads for the following locations:
The Placement Officer is a dynamic, relationship focussed role, working between employers and work ready job seekers to support the appointment of individuals into suitable employment, work trials or work experience opportunities. Such appointments are undertaken with consideration of the job seekers ambitions and career preferences, the employer's workforce needs and with the overall objective of ensuring high quality placements that will support suitable and sustainable employment outcomes.
The purpose of this role is to proactively develop and maintain relationships with job seekers to support them in securing employment as well as with employers to source and create employment vacancies or work trial opportunities. Partner with Workforce Australia team members to ensure current knowledge about prospective employer and vacancy leads, and job seeker referrals. Additionally, the Placement Officer provides support and assistance to employers and job seekers.
About you
The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Police Check and any State/Territory Working with Children Check (where applicable.)
