The Opportunity

 

Based from our Head Office in Melbourne, this newly created dynamic and pivotal role will report to the Chief Information Officer while working in collaboration with the Executive team.

As Senior Compliance Manager, this role will be accountable for providing strategic leadership, direction and guidance around risk, legal, privacy, quality, information security and compliance management functions across the MEGT business.

This is an exciting opportunity that will see you build and foster strong internal and external relationships to ensure the management and maintenance of external certifications and accreditations including ISO:9001, ISO 20071, DEWR and RFFR whilst uplifting and educating the wider business around contractual obligations.

 

About you

 

You will be a driven and experienced leader with a passion for MEGT’s purpose and values combined with extensive knowledge across quality management, information security management and contract compliance, including previous ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 “hands on” experience.

You will ideally have a legal, compliance, privacy or risk management background and will bring your detail orientated, team orientated and adaptable nature in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. Further demonstrable skills will include excellent communication acumen, exceptional executive skills that achieve high performance outcomes via the ability to educate and bring people on a “journey” to ensure the accurate and timely delivery in line with contractual and legal expectations.  

As the successful candidate you will ideally demonstrate the skills and qualities below:

  • Qualification in the field of risk management, quality management information security management or relevant experience such as a legal background
  • Extensive knowledge in Quality Management, Information Security Management and Contract Compliance including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, RFFR and DEWR (highly regarded)
  • Previous experience in a leadership or similar role involving quality management, information security management, compliance and/or risk management.
  • Commercial acumen with the proven ability to achieve business and contractual quality management, risk management and compliance, and deliver on operational and financial targets
  • Demonstrable experience in leading and motivating a team in a similar function while working to achieve organisational and operational objectives, deadlines, targets, KPIs and/or customer service standards.
  • Experience in the provision of excellent customer service and driving continuous improvement and learning. 
  • Proven willingness to embrace change, commit to continuous improvement and take initiative to deliver services that meet and exceed the current and future needs of MEGT customers. 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and consultatively with numerous customers, at various levels of responsibility within an organisation. 
  • High level of digital literacy, including using online tools, cloud-based systems, forms, etc.

 

The successful applicant will be required to undertake pre-employment checks which may include a National Police Check, State/Territory Working with Children Check, two reference checks and verify your right to work in Australia.
