The Opportunity

Based in our Western Suburbs offices and reporting to the Program Manager, the Stakeholder Engagement Lead drives the region’s strategic employer engagement agenda. This role is responsible for designing and executing high‑impact business development strategies that create sustainable, scalable employment pathways for job seekers.

You will build and manage a portfolio of regional and national employers, including those with high‑volume recruitment needs and those seeking to diversify their workforce, redesign roles, or create new pathways for job seekers with complex barriers.

This is not a site‑based reverse marketing role.  It is a regional strategic partnership role requiring commercial acumen, influence, and the ability to shape employer workforce practices.

Key duties include:

  • Lead the development and delivery of regional employer engagement strategies and business development plans
  • Build, retain, and grow partnerships with employers offering high‑volume or ongoing workforce demand
  • Influence senior leaders, HR executives, and operational managers to adopt inclusive, flexible, and alternative recruitment models
  • Drive conversations around job redesign, role adaptation, and workforce planning to create new or modified roles
  • Co‑design pre‑employment programs and talent pipelines with RTOs, industry bodies, and community partners
  • Ensure consistent jobseeker readiness, vetting, and support across all MEGT sites in the region
  • Translate employer needs into clear, scalable processes that sites can deliver with confidence
  • Maintain a strong placement pipeline while building long‑term strategic partnerships
  • Monitor labour market trends and use data to inform employer strategies and regional priorities
  • Champion sustainable employment outcomes that support both employer needs and job seeker success

We are seeking a commercially sharp, socially driven professional who can talk workforce strategy with senior executives in the morning and support job seekers facing complex barriers in the afternoon.

About you

We’re looking for a standout operator who can think big, influence widely, and build partnerships that shift employer behaviour - not just fill vacancies.

You will bring:

  • Qualifications in Employment Services, Business Development, Sales, Marketing or other related field (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience leading business development or employer engagement at a regional, national, or multi‑site level
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including HR executives and operational leaders, to adopt new recruitment models or workforce practices
  • Experience designing or implementing workforce strategies, talent pipelines, or large‑scale recruitment solutions
  • Strong understanding of labour market trends and the ability to translate insights into practical employer strategies
  • Experience supporting inclusive recruitment, job redesign, workplace adjustments, and culturally safe employment practices
  • Capability to work with job seekers facing complex or multiple barriers, ensuring alignment between employer needs and job seeker capacity
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding KPIs, targets, and deadlines in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers, stakeholders, and customers at all organisational levels
  • Experience working autonomously while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to embrace change, drive continuous improvement, and take initiative
  • Current driver’s licence
