The Opportunity

This dynamic Business Development Manager – QLD/VIC opportunity will develop and implement sales plans and initiatives to build new quality working partnerships and while strategically promoting MEGT and the provision of Support Services to a wide range of corporate and government customers.

Reporting into the State Manager VIC/QLD/TAS, this role will unite a diverse range of key stakeholders to build collaborative and effective relationships that support businesses and communities in life changing, lifelong learning and employment for all.

About you

You are a trailblazer with extensive industry experience and a deep understanding of the Support Services Program and Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. This highly autonomous role requires strong business development skills and a passion for building meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • High level leadership acumen with demonstrated understanding of business process development and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proactively share information, expertise and resources with large prospective employers by delivering engaging presentations
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including MEGT’s State Leadership Team, to increase market share.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a strong network of relationships with large national organisations including Registered Training Organisations and Employer Associations etc.
  • Extensive understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services Program and VET sector including current trends and change factors impacting the apprenticeship sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, lead and proactively drive effective process changes and continuous improvement activities.
  • Current drivers licence and ability to frequently travel interstate and intrastate is essential
