The Opportunity

Based in Melton, this is your chance to join MEGT’s Employment Services division and play a key frontline role delivering the Workforce Australia contract. You’ll work with participants facing a range of barriers, develop work‑readiness, and secure long‑term employment or training pathways.

You’ll be part of a supportive, high‑performing team that lives MEGT’s Purpose and Values every day. This is a fast‑paced, KPI-driven and varied role where you’ll balance structured appointments with the unexpected.

We highly value candidates with Employment Services experience (WFA, DES, IEA, ParentsNext, Transition to Work, Jobactive), as it provides a strong foundation for the pace, complexity, and people‑focused problem‑solving required in this role. However, we also welcome applicants with strong transferable skills from recruitment, community services, sales, or other people‑centred environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of participants and build strong, professional relationships
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored Job Plans
  • Identify barriers, goals, and career preferences using structured tools
  • Deliver 1:1 coaching, group workshops, and referrals to specialist services
  • Source vacancies through cold‑calling, reverse marketing, and employer engagement
  • Support employers through recruitment, onboarding, and retention
  • Provide post‑placement and in‑work support to participants and employers
  • Monitor attendance and mutual obligations, applying compliance requirements where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate, compliant records in ESS Web and meet contractual KPIs

About you

You’ll thrive in this role if you are resilient, organised, and confident working with people from all walks of life. You balance empathy with accountability and can adapt your communication style to suit different situations, along with:

  • Strong customer service experience (face‑to‑face ideal)
  • Confidence having professional and sometimes challenging conversations
  • Administration and compliance experience within a regulated environment
  • Experience working to KPIs or performance targets
  • High digital literacy and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  • A genuine interest in helping people achieve meaningful change
