The Opportunity

MEGT is seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded Senior Strategic Finance Analyst to join our Strategic Initiatives Division based in Sydney. Reporting to the General Manager Strategic Initiatives, with a dotted reporting line to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in supporting strategic growth initiatives across the MEGT Group, including mergers and acquisitions, new product development, operational transformation, and technology investment decisions.

This is a high-impact role suited to a finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with senior leaders to deliver data-driven commercial insights that support sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing robust financial and commercial models to support new products, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
• Conducting financial due diligence and supporting mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities
• Preparing executive-level business cases, ROI analysis, and strategic recommendations
• Supporting profitability planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis across growth initiatives
• Monitoring and reporting on integration performance, benefits realisation, and project KPIs
• Partnering with technology and transformation teams to evaluate investment performance and operational efficiencies
• Building and enhancing BI reporting, data models, and financial analysis tools
• Collaborating closely with Finance, Commercial, and Executive Leadership teams across the MEGT Group

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a highly analytical and commercially focused finance professional with strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

You will bring:

• CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience in strategic finance, commercial analysis, M&A, or corporate finance
• Proven experience developing financial models, business cases, and investment analysis
• Strong understanding of financial and operational drivers within complex or multi-entity organisations
• Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Power BI or similar BI/reporting tools
• Experience supporting new product development, operational transformation, or strategic partnerships
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities
• The ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders in dynamic and evolving environments
