The Opportunity
Based at our Head Office in Ringwood, you will join the IT Data & Integrations team within MEGT’s IT Division. You will play a key role in delivering trusted, governed and actionable insights across the organisation using Microsoft Fabric data platform.
This is a business-facing role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders, project teams and vendors to understand business challenges and deliver best-practice Power BI reporting.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality, visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights
- Drive Power BI adoption and self-service BI across the business
- Coach users and uplift data literacy across the business
- Build and maintain robust, reusable Power BI semantic models
- Trace data lineage across the Fabric medallion architecture
- Apply strong BI governance, security and access controls
- Manage the end-to-end Power BI reporting lifecycle
- Partner with stakeholders to document technical and reporting requirements
- Apply data storytelling to present insights and influence business decision-making
About you
You are a collaborative and people-focused BI professional who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and delivering high-quality, trusted reporting solutions. You will bring:
- 7+ years’ BI/reporting experience in enterprise data environments
- Relevant tertiary qualification in IT, Computer Science or similar
- Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX Studio, Power Query and semantic modelling
- Strong communication, team collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build rapport, engage with senior stakeholders and capture requirements
- Strong SQL. Performance tuning and dimensional data modelling expertise
- Experience with Microsoft Stack and MS Azure services
- Strong BI governance, documentation and BI lifecycle management
- Experience working in agile, fast-paced data teams
- GIT or Azure DevOps experience
